GeoClient Privacy Policy
GeoClient app is an open source app.
This service is provided at no cost and is intended for use as is.
The main purpose of the app is to send location data to a server of the choice of the user
for live tracking of the movement of the user and/or the device.
The destination to send the data to is configured by scanning a QR code in the app.
Log Data
I want to inform you that whenever you use my Service, for example but not limited to in a case of an error in the app,
I collect data and information on your phone called Log Data.
This Log Data may include information such as your device
Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version,
the configuration of the app when utilizing my Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.
Security
I value your trust in providing us your Personal Information,
thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it.
But remember that no method of transmission over the internet,
or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and I cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Children's Privacy
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13.
I do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age.
In the case I discover that a child under 13 has provided me with personal information,
I immediately delete this from our servers, although this is technically impossible,
because there are no servers related to this app to which the app could send any data.
If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact me so that I will be able to do necessary actions.
Usage of Location Data
It is the responsibility of the user to scan only trusted QR codes.
Make sure that a provide of a server handling the location data provides an additional
privacy policy stating the intended usage, time of storage and reason for processing data.
The app sends the location continuously in the background
to provide a live feed of the movements of the device.
The user fully controls sending the location data, by

starting it by scanning a QR code

stopping it by unregistering the device in the "settings" tab

stopping the location transmission latest after 24 hours after
registration as safety net if the unregister action was forgotten
Summary:

The app does not store any location data.

The location data is only processed at a server the user chooses. The exact usage,
including the reason for collecting the data, is not in the sphere of influence of this app.

The location information is only sent to the destination the user configures via the scanned QR code.

The creators of this app really concerns about privacy and explaining what data is used for.
Unfortunately the only reason this document is written, is that the Google App store forces the creators to write
a document about what we do not do with your data.
If you expect any useful information about how your data is used,
please ask the provider of the server you configured in the settings page.
